Notre Dame vs Temple preview

The Irish open at home this afternoon at 2:30 CT vs Temple in the House that Knute Rockne built

For the Irish it’s always a big deal for the opener at home.  The first game as always determines how they’ll do during the season.

The Irish had a lot of inexperience last season on the roster so many of them now have experience.  QB Brandon Wimbush, Josh Adams and Equanimeous St. Brown will be the focal point of ND’s offensive line.

This is the Owls first visit to Notre Dame since 2013.  They’re coached by Geoff Collins who previously had been defensive coordinator with Florida and Mississippi State.

Not going to go into a lot of detail about either team, but looking at both rosters, pretty much figures that on paper the advantage goes to the Irish. Temple is has a first year head coach and also an inexperienced roster.

Outlook:  Irish have done well in their openers so pretty much as I stated earlier, usually the first game shows what they can do.  This is Brian Kelly’s 8th season as head coach.  Let’s see how this young Irish roster handles their 2nd year of experience.  I’ll have a postgame blog later on tonight.
