LAPORTE, IN – Bryce Hayman found a way to lead the Michigan City Wolves to a second consecutive IHSAA Sectional Championship.

Make that six of them.

With three touchdowns passing and three more running, Hayman and the Wolves roared to a 49-7 win on Friday night and a second consecutive Class 5A Sectional championship.

Hayman finished 11-20 for 187 yards passing and 7 carries for 77 yards rushing.

After going three-and-out on their first possession, the Wolves offense kicked it into high gear.

Hayman led the charge on all first have touchdowns by rushing in from 6 yards out to cap an 8-play, 53-yard drive to give Michigan City at 7-0 lead.

After a defensive stop, Hayman struck again as he hit Demetrius Garrett for a 47-yard touchdown to begin the second quarter, then backed it up with a 12-yard strike to Lyric McFarrin to stretch the lead to 21-0 and the rout was on!

Two more Hayman touchdown runs effectively put the game out of reach as the Wolves carried a 35-0 lead at the half.

The Wolves now host the Minutemen of Concord on Friday November 9th at 6:30pm. The broadcast on Arena Sportsnet Indiana can be heard LIVE beginning at 5:30pm CT.
