Flames Get Important Conference Win vs Green Bay

CHICAGO – UIC had its most efficient offensive performance of the season as the Flames (7-10, 2-2 Horizon League) connected at a clip of 58.2 percent from the floor to blow past the Green Bay Phoenix (7-12, 2-4 Horizon League) Wednesday night, 84-73.

UIC held its opponent below its season average in field goal percentage for the fourth time in as many Horizon League games. The Phoenix shot 40.7 percent and only 34.4 percent in the first half.

Dikembe Dixson made 10-of-12 field goal attempts, and all three from downtown, as he poured in a team-best 23 points for UIC. Godwin Boahen added 16 points off the bench with three 3-pointers of his own. Khalil Small scored 27 points to lead Green Bay.
