Dubs Blitz Cavs in Game 2

OAKLAND – Stephen Curry proved once again why he is the best shooter in the NBA. And as long as he has something to prove, the rest of the NBA better beware!

Using 9-17 from three-point land, a Finals Record, Curry finished with 33 points and led the Golden State Warriors to a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals by virtue of a 122-103 victory on Sunday night.

Curry had plenty of help as Klay Thompson dropped 20 points, but the most unlikely of heroes was JaVale McGee. In a surprise start, McGee had the first four points, finished with 12 and did not miss a shot.

Meanwhile Kevin Durant bounced back from a poor shooting performance in Game 1 and finished with 26 points.

”Pretty special night,” Curry said, ”and hopefully some more special things happen and we get two more wins.”

Kevin Love finished with 22 points and Tristan Thompson had 11 to accompany LeBron James’ 29 points and 13 rebounds. But the Cavaliers and LeBron looked very pedestrian in missing open shots and had plenty of opportunity to steal this game. the Cavs remained close until Curry’s 4th Quarter barrage put the game away.

Game 3 is set for Wednesday night in Cleveland at 9pm ET.
